Kathryn Ann Bigelow  is an American film director. She directed the nomber of films like  Near Dark (1987), Point Break (1991), and the six-time Academy Award-winning The Hurt Locker (2008).

Bigelow became the first woman to win the Directors Guild of America award for Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Motion Pictures, Best Director at the 2010 British Academy Film Awards, and Academy Award for Best Director. (more…)
