Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) conducted The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2009 and is the first step in the process of seeking admission to the IIMs. The CAT has now become the most imperative entrance exams to get admitted to the premier management institutes. Apart from the Indian Institutes of Management over 72 other Management Institutes use the CAT for short listing candidates. The mother of all examinations, the CAT has the widest coverage in Quantitative, Verbal and Reasoning areas of testing.

CAT 2009 Exam Duaration/Test pattern:
The CAT 2009 duration of the CAT 2009 test is 2 hours and 30 minutes including initial 15 minute tutorial. No breaks will be given during the test. The test consists of questions that evaluate a candidate’s quantitative, verbal, and logical & data interpretive abilities.
Eligibilty for IIM CAT Exam
* Candidate appearing for IIM CAT Exam 2009 must hold a Bachelor’s Degree, with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA [45% in case of the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA)categories]
* Candidates appearing for the final year of bachelor’s degree/equivalent qualification examination and those who have completed degree requirements and are awaiting results can also apply. IIMs may verify eligibility at various stages of the selection process, the details of which are provided at Selection Process of IIMs.
