Lok Sabha Election 2009
India will hold general elections to the 15th Lok Sabha in 5 phases on April 16, April 22, April 23, April 30, May 7 and May 13, 2009.
Elections in India for the Lok Sabha must be held at least every five years under normal circumstances, with the last elections held in 2004 elections will take place by May 2009. India’s Chief Election Commissioner, N. Gopalaswami, stated on December 28th, 2008, that he expects elections to be held between April and May of 2009.

15th loksabha dates are to be announced today. The Election Commission of India has called for Press Conference to announce the date for upcoming Lok sabha elections in April may 2009 .

March 23: Issue of notification.
March 30: Last date of filing nominations.
March 31: Scrutiny of nomination.
April 2: Last date of withdrawal of nomination.

Manipur.
March 28: Issue of notification.
April 4: Last date of filing of nomination.
April 6: Scrutiny of nomination.
April 8: Last date of withdrawal of nomination.
Phase Two (B) April 23

In Karnataka BJP will win more than 18 seats. It will improve its tally compared to 2004.
