Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister YS Rajashekar Reddy remains uncertain after his chopper went missing on Wednesday Sep 2nd 2009 morning. A massive search operation( investigation) is underway in the Nallamala forest to look for the CM and the four other co-passengers.
It has been close to twelve hours and there is still no news of the whereabouts of the Bell chopper that took off from Hyderabad.
The Nallamala Forest, a Naxal-infested area, is the focus of the search operation. The Chief Minister’s helicopter is understood to be in that area.
ISRO is helping the Andhra government in its search for the chopper with a special aircraft that will survey the area at night.
The US Defence Dept is also helping with satellite imagery that will be real time
