Corporation Bank is founded in 1906 in Udupi, Karnataka state, India. It is one of the Indian banks in Public Sector Undertaking.

Corporation Bank completed 100 years of existence on 12 March 2006. The Centenary celebrations were launched by Shri V. Leeladhar, Deputy Governor, Reserve Bank of India with the Bank’s Foundation Day lecture on 12 March 2005.

It is the Second Public Sector Bank in the country to enter capital market, the IPO of which was over- subscribed by 13 times.
